Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is contacting Inter Milan players over a possible move to the Italian club this summer, according to reports in France.

Aubameyang’s future at Arsenal remains uncertain with just over a year left to run on his existing deal and has been linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer with Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea and Inter Milan all reportedly monitoring his situation.

Arsenal are desperate to hold on to the Gabon international but with no new deal in sight and the forward wanting Champions League football next season, the Gunners may have to cash in this summer to avoid losing him for free next year.

Barcelona were initially the favourites to sign him and United were said to be preparing a £50million bid.

However, it now appears that Inter Milan are front runners for his signature as the forward has been in contact with a few players from the San Siro club about a return to Italy, according to French publication Le10Sport.

Although Inter would guarantee Aubameyang Champions League football next season, the Serie A club could struggle to meet his wage demands.

Arsenal are preparing for the worse as they said to be looking for a potential replacement for Aubameyang should the 30-year-old decide to leave the Emirates this summer.

However, Arsenal will probably not fetch the required amount that they would be hoping for from Aubameyang’s possible sale this summer. Not only because his contract expires in 2021, but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, it remains unclear as to how much money clubs will have to spend in the next window.
