Antonio Cassano believes Inter Milan should go for Alexandre Lacazette to potentially replace Lautaro Martinez this summer.

The former Real Madrid, AC Milan and Roma striker also suggests that Inter Milan should target Edinson Cavani, whose contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season, as Antonio Conte looks to fill any hole left by the in-demand Martinez.

Martinez, 22, has been targeted by Chelsea and Barcelona in recent weeks and the Argentine forward is expected to move on. Meanwhile, Mauro Icardi is currently serving a season-long loan at PSG, who are keen to make the deal a permanent one but will face competition from Juventus who are also believed to be eyeing up a swoop for the 27-year-old.

Cassano suggests that Inter should cash in on Martinez but only if his valuation is met and then make a move for both Cavani and Lacazette to fill the void.

Speaking to Italian journalist Perluigi Padro on Instagram (via Metro), Cassano said:

“Lautaro is very good, but I would sell him.

“You brought him for €20m and sell him for over €100m. Or even get €70m to €80m and Arthur. Then I would go for Cavani, who is on an expiring contract and would be perfect for Conte.

“In addition, there will also be money from the sale of Icardi and I would go to Arsenal to bring in Lacazette.”

Conte has been successful in bringing in several Premier League players to the San Siro including Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Ashley Young, Victor Moses and Christian Eriksen.

Lacazette’s future at Arsenal remains in doubt and the Gunners may be willing to sell the Frenchman for the right price this summer.

However, Inter would face competition for his signature as Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in the former Lyon striker.
