Arsenal are reportedly preparing to make a move for Orkun Kokcu this summer.
The 19-year-old, who is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in European football, is a regular for Dutch side Feyenoord, making 18 appearances in the Eredivisie so far this season.
Tottenham and Chelsea have also been credited with interest in the attacking midfielder, who is valued by Feyenoord at around the £15million mark, in the past.
The Metro (via The Daily Mail) claim the Gunners have been scouting Kokcu over the last 18 months or so and want to wrap up a deal as early as possible before a bidding war starts this summer.
With Kokcu under contract at the Feyenoord until 2023 and Arsenal prepared to open talks over a move, the Dutch side will be able to name their price for the young talent. However, they will be wary of losing the midfielder before Euro 2020.
Turkey are expected to name Kokcu in their squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 and his price tag could sky-rocket should he impress.
Arsenal will face competition for Kokcu’s signature from a host of Spanish clubs, but the Gunners will be hoping to steal a march on their rivals.
