Wolves are anxious to agree a new long-term contract for manager Nun Espirito Santo amid interest from Arsenal, according to 90min.

The online outlet claim that the Gunners’ Premier League rivals have been in talks with their boss for some time now as they look to extend his stay at Molineux beyond 2021.

90min report that Nuno is currently open to taking over at the Emirates Stadium, with Wolves set to offer him a hefty pay rise alongside continued backing in the transfer window.

It was reported by Sky Sports recently that the Wolves boss is currently on a five-man shortlist to take over from Unai Emery in North London.

Could Arsenal tempt Nuno?

It is certainly going that way based on this latest report.

Given that the Portuguese boss is currently open to moving to the Emirates Stadium, if the Gunners made a move for his services, surely he would jump at the chance.

Nuno has turned Wolves around in the past few years, winning the Championship and turning them into a side who are currently in the Europa League alongside Arsenal.

Arsenal need a manager with a no-nonsense approach to turn their fortunes around after an average start to the season, and that is exactly what Nuno would bring to the club.

The 45-year-old has won 20 of his 51 games in charge in the Premier League, and Arsenal shouldn’t think twice before trying to hijack Wolves’ reported talks with their boss.
