Despite the current anger surrounding the club, Arsenal fans were keeping cheerful as they took to Twitter to wish Happy Birthday to one of their former ‘invincibles’, Robert Pires.
The Frenchman spent six glorious years at the club, grabbing 85 goals in 283 appearances. He was part of the ‘invincibles’ side that won the Premier League without losing a single match. Plus, he also holds an additional Premier League trophy to his name as well as two FA Cup winner’s medals.
While the former left-winger may have turned 45 yesterday, it’s clear his flair from the early 2000’s keeps him forever young in the minds of Gunners fans.

One fan (amongst many) thought it’d be the perfect time to call for manager Unai Emery to leave.

What do we think?
It’s hard to believe that Robert Pires is 45 years of age. That trademark goatee; the slick long hair; the repeated linking up with Henry, Bergkamp, Ljungberg and co. You could be forgiven for thinking he’s ageless, but alas, happy 45th birthday Robert.
