One of Arsenal’s longest serving players could be about to finally depart the Emirates Stadium as according to the Guardian, Championship club Nottingham Forest have begun talks to bring right-back Carl Jenkinson to the Midlands before Thursday’s all-important transfer deadline.

Jenkinson has been at Arsenal since June 2011 when he joined the club from Charlton Athletic as a 19-year-old. In just over eight years at the club, he has made only 41 appearances in the Premier League which is barely five games per season – he’s now 27 years of age.

Fans would be delighted to see him finally leave the club as many believe he has remained well past his stay, claiming he has robbed enough wages out of the club whilst another said he had been stealing a living for ten years.

The 27-year-old has endured three loan spells away from the club, two of which with West Ham in the Premier League and most recently in the 2017/18 season with Championship side Birmingham City.

Other supporters begged the club to sell him by asking them to pay for his house, kids’ education and wife’s engagement ring just to see him gone. One Gooner even labelled him as the worst player he has seen in an Arsenal shirt.
