Whereas Arsenal fans may be expecting announcements of new signings in the transfer window, this latest development may have caught some slightly off-guard.
Hector Bellerin has been working hard on his comeback from injury which he sustained back in January, and with the new season – and his comeback – just around the corner, the Spaniard was snapped on Arsenal’s Twitter account sporting a fresh barnet – sending some fans into hysteria.
The comments suggest Bellerin remains a popular figure amongst the supporters, with few of those offering thoughts on the full-back’s new hairstyle seeming to gain inspiration for the season ahead.
Fans greeted the images with renewed hopes of success for the forthcoming season as their spirits were seemingly lifted by the sight of long-term absentee Bellerin, who was also tipped by some to be a future Arsenal captain.
While some fans were slightly more concerned with the transfer dealings of the club, others were delighted to see the progress Bellerin has been making during his recovery – though with the striking difference being his latest haircut, as Arsenal provided fans with pictures of his preparations for the new campaign, there was little else to talk about for these supporters:
