It has been a long time in coming for Arsenal fans, but that clearly hasn’t helped the pain of seeing Aaron Ramsey switch his Gunners colours for the strip of Juventus.
Having signed a pre-contract agreement in February by running down his Arsenal contract, Ramsey’s time in North London is now officially over after 11 years as a Gunner.
As a goalscorer in two FA Cup finals, Ramsey leaves firmly in the hearts of the Gunners faithful, with the announcement of his move and the sight of him in Juve colours for the first time prompting a flood of well-wishers from Arsenal fans thanking him for his service.
Fans wished an emotional Ramsey farewell on the pitch back in May, but it was the supporters who could not hide their feelings as ‘Rambo’ joined the Serie A champions on Monday.
It seemed as if some were not willing to accept the Welshman moving on to pastures new, judging by the emotional nature of the reaction to the news.
Others looked to be regretting the club’s decision to let him go, while plenty were rather refreshingly wishing Ramsey the best of luck ahead of his new adventure in Turin:
Thanks for those goals in the final, best of luck next season ?
