Considering Arsenal conceded 51 goals in the Premier League last season, you may have expected The Gunners to be in the market for a defender this summer.

Having only managed to recruit a solitary striker so far during the transfer window, it seems impatience over the requirement for a new defensive incoming is firmly at the forefront of fans’ minds.

That desire from supporters was made abundantly clear in their response to a report via The Daily Mirror that Real Madrid were said to be offering The Gunners the chance to sign striker Mariano Diaz in a cut-price deal thought to be worth £18m.

The report suggests that Diaz is deemed surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu, and given their heavy outlay on players so far, there is certainly a motive for Madrid to offload players this summer.

But these Arsenal supporters seem confident about where the club’s priorities lie, with the notion of bringing in another striker being roundly rejected by this corner of the fanbase.
