Arsenal’s transfer business this summer remains a talking point for fans as The Gunners still find themselves with just one addition to their name with just weeks left in the window.
And upon receiving an update on Unai Emery’s plans, some supporters were left to wonder what might have been as a potential target is not thought to be on The Gunners’ radar.
Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech – who has previously expressed a liking towards an Arsenal move – is not on the club’s agenda with regards to incomings this summer – according to Arsenal insider David Ornstein, who appeared on an Arseblog podcast to provide the latest on the club’s transfer activity.
The development has split the fans on Twitter – with supporters making a case for and against Arsenal’s stance on the Morocco international, although there seemed to be a lack of faith in The Gunners’ business from both sides.
Some fans highlighted his performances at the African Cup of Nations to justify the club’s actions, whereas others were in disbelief as Arsenal look set to pass on someone who could provide the squad with a much-needed upgrade:

he only fits a super aggressive counter attack team, like Ajax style. And at AFCON, he was absolutely dreadful. He reminded me of a certain somebody that everyone wants out of the club, just sitting. Capable of moments but personally do not want him.
