Despite the lack of incomings at Emirates Stadium so far this summer, these Arsenal fans are still hoping for quality signings before the new season starts.
However, if these tweets are anything to go by, Arsenal’s chase of Spanish winger Lucas Vazquez, following reports in Spain, would not represent that quality.
Real Madrid-based news outlet Defensa Central claims that The Gunners have made an attempt to sign the 28-year-old from the Spanish giants for €30m (£26.9m), with Zinedine Zidane holding out for €40m (£35.9m).
And while some Arsenal fans don’t rate their chances of pulling a transfer of that size off in any case, others seemed to be desperate that the links to the £22.5m-rated attacker turn out to be false.
Although he has won three Champions Leagues and a La Liga title during his time at the Bernabeu, it looks as if his cup-winning pedigree has not enhanced his reputation amongst supporters – with quite a few in North London clearly not rating him – and despite the report claiming he is up for sale at Real Madrid, these fans certainly don’t want to be welcoming Vazquez to the Emirates any time soon – at any price:
He’s terrible
