Arsenal’s hunt for a winger may be drawing to a close with the club linked to both Gremio regular Everton Soares and Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha this summer. Some of The Gunners fanbase have made it clear which one they’d prefer with the overriding majority electing for the 23-year-old Brazilian international.

After Roy Hodgson’s side put up an asking price of £80m, it was always likely that Arsenal would be priced out of a move for the 26-year-old despite him being a boyhood fan of the club. According to Marca, Everton is only going to cost manager Unai Emery €40m (£36m) which is over half the valuation of the Ivory Coast international. This move would certainly be the kinder of the two on Emery’s reported £45m transfer budget.

Soares dazzled at this summer’s Copa America bagging the Golden Boot after scoring three goals in six matches as his national side won the competition. It’s clear to see he would be the favourite choice of some at the Emirates Stadium with one fan claiming he is far better than the former Manchester United flop.

Another supporter suggested that he would definitely prefer him to Zaha as he’s quick, can use both feet, good in fake ons and can score and assist whilst others bluntly used the greater-sign between the two players to show their admiration.

Here’s a selection of tweets from some of the Arsenal fanbase:
