Arsenal’s transfer woes took another turn at the weekend as reports told of their latest bid for Kieran Tierney being rejected by Celtic.

And after the Scottish champions turned down The Gunners’ approach, some fans could not hide their frustration as their pursuit of the left-back continues, with just a few weeks of the transfer window remaining.

It seems these Arsenal supporters are only too aware of the time left in which to do deals, as some urged the club to locate alternatives as Celtic knocked them back to square one despite a bid worth up to £25m.

With Tierney staying put for the time being and Arsenal remaining on the sole incoming of Gabriel Martinelli this summer, these fans’ desire to switch targets at this late stage suggests a sense of desperation setting in amongst the Gunners supporters, as they face the prospect of going into the new season without having added to a defence that was often at fault last year.

Whether the Scot ends up an Arsenal player or not, the length of the negotiations is clearly taking its toll on these fans – who believe that maybe it is time to pass on the full-back altogether:
