Following reports that Arsenal have shown an interest in Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, supporters have been at odds with each other over a possible move.
Lemina missed a large part of the previous campaign with an abdominal injury, and it seems his time at Southampton could be near its end, with Arsenal among a number of clubs said to be interested in the 25-year-old midfielder, according to Football.london.
And while some Gunners fans have given the Gabon man a glowing recommendation, others are still calling out for Arsenal to pursue other targets with time ticking towards the end of the transfer window.
Previously at Juventus, some fans have called for Lemina to replace Mohamed Elneny, who only played eight league games last term.
Lemina would provide more Champions League experience to the squad, having played during Juventus’ run to the final in 2017, while also featuring in the competition against Arsenal for Marseille back in 2013.
However, talk of a potential Emirates arrival has not gone down well with everyone – as some Gunners supporters stress the importance of funding the capture of a new defender before the transfer deadline passes:
