Lots of Arsenal fans were taking a trip down memory lane as they reminisced over a former star.
Marking five years since he signed for The Gunners, many supporters were in conversation over Alexis Sanchez, who has since left for Manchester United – if not for greater things.
Scoring 30 times in his final full season at The Emirates, his Old Trafford switch in January 2018 has not seen the 30-year-old reach those heights in Manchester – scoring just twice in the last campaign.
And it seems that despite leaving for a rival 18 months ago, there are plenty of Gunners fans who still hold the diminutive Chilean in high regard, following a highlight video of his best Arsenal moments being shared online.
The winger won two FA Cups at Arsenal, scoring in both finals, while his on-pitch relationship with Mesut Ozil was just one of the aspects that some of these Gunners supporters miss the most.
With Arsenal’s fortunes not improving since Sanchez’s departure, it seems as though these fans wish he had never left, given the love that he clearly still has amongst the Gunners fanbase:
