There seems to be just one thing on these Arsenal fans’ minds as activity other than welcoming new signings takes place at the Emirates Stadium.
The NBA’s Houston Rockets star James Harden was something of a surprise visitor to the home of The Gunners earlier this week – but plenty of supporters were far more concerned with arrivals of a different kind at the club this summer.
Having only signed Brazilian teenager Gabriel Martinelli to show for their efforts during the transfer period so far, these Gunners fans had one specific demand for Unai Emery – buying a defender before the deadline passes.
Looking at the tweets below, supporters showcased an admirable sense of humour amid the palpable frustration amongst the fanbase, with several poking fun at the club for entertaining Harden at the club’s home with more pressing issues seemingly at hand for Arsenal.
Harden was shown around the ground by Reiss Nelson as ‘The Beard’ was treated to a tour of the stadium, though many supporters here hope Nelson will be welcoming a visitor of a different nature in the near future:
