With improvement required at the club as another season in the dreaded Europa League beckons, supporters are eager to see reinforcements enter the Emirates Stadium over the summer after seeing their Champions League hopes go up in smoke in emphatic fashion almost a month ago.
But as life goes on, and with a new season on the horizon, Arsenal’s Twitter account sought to wish left-back Kolasinac at happy 26th birthday – but few Gunners were quite so joyous in response.
The message prompted some to wish the Bosnian defender off to ventures new, while others decided to use the opportunity to list their demands for Unai Emery’s transfer business this summer.
It seems the club hadn’t quite gauged the mood amongst their Twitter fans as supporters seemed more concerned with either Kolasinac’s replacement or the surprising fact that he is only 26.
So any hope that the fans may have put last season’s frustrations behind them might be slightly off, but with rumours circulating daily around potential incomings, the club may be better placed once it comes to wishing Kolasinac a happy 27th:
