If you were a keen spectator of Arsenal last season, you may have come to find watching Shkodran Mustafi a particularly stressful task.
And with the German’s antics last year – and the transfer window being open – you could be forgiven for thinking that the centre-back could be sold before the new season kicks off.
As Turkish side Fenerbahce reportedly highlighted their interest in the player, the thought that Arsenal were finally getting Mustafi off their books may have seemed too good to be true.
But so it proved, and after it emerged they could not finance a move for the defender due to FFP, Gunners supporters expressed their discontent at the development, urging Fenerbahce to reconsider their stance – with some fans offering to pay in order to offload the centre-back.
Judging by some of the part-exchange deals on offer from Arsenal supporters, it is clear that these fans really don’t rate Mustafi at all, with the former Valencia man being offered for everything from a pitiful £2 – to a Mars bar and a bottle of Coke.
Either way, despite the financial state of Arsenal’s own transfer budget, it looks as if Arsenal fans are just happy to give him away:
I am willing to start a gofundme page to cover the additional cost ????

They must be in dire straits if they can’t afford to meet his value of about 6 quid
