It has been a tough couple of seasons for Laurent Koscielny. After the serious injury he suffered last year ruled him out of a potentially victorious World Cup, the Frenchman returned to the Arsenal fold, captaining the club to their first European final in over a decade.
But the 33-year-old’s future at Arsenal has come into question – and following reports the Gunners skipper is entering crunch talks over a new deal, fans have been coming to terms with the possibility that this might be the end of the road for the defender.
Koscielny will become Arsenal’s longest-serving player once Aaron Ramsey officially departs for Juventus, but should he follow the Welshman out the exit door, some supporters have given their No6 a blessing to leave, with new defenders required at Emirates Stadium.
There are others who would love to see ‘Lolo’ end his career at the club and perhaps be offered a testimonial – with Koscielny scoring some vital goals over the years, including Arsenal’s equaliser in their FA Cup final comeback win in 2014.
However, with offers from elsewhere, Koscielny could call time on his Arsenal career – and it looks likes some fans would be happy to wish him farewell:
I hope he leaves along with Mustafi and Monreal/Kolasinac
