Unai Emery recently admitted that he would like to do some transfer business this month, if possible.

Arsenal have had countless injuries during the season (mainly defensively) and after their 3-0 FA Cup win over Blackpool on Saturday, Emery revealed that he would like to reinforce his squad in certain areas to help the club through the remainder of the campaign.  

When asked if the Gunners would be entering the market this month, Emery said:

“I think the club is working for the possibility to take some players who can help us during these next four months.

“Maybe the transfer market can help us with a centre-back, but it is not easy because also (Konstantinos) Mavropanos is coming back after injury. Also a winger, right or left, one player can help us in this position.”

The Gunners have also been linked with several midfielders as of late after learning that Aaron Ramsey is on his way out at the end of the season when his contract expires, and this could be another position that Emery decided to bolster this month.
