Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in Yannick Carrasco and looking to seal a possible move for the Belgium international this month, according to the player’s wife.

Unai Emery has recently admitted that the Gunners are only able to land players on loan this month, but the Spaniard is desperate to reinforce areas of his squad.

Carrasco is believed to be seeking a move back to Europe after a year with Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang and the player’s his wife, Noemie Happart, has confirmed Arsenal and United’s interest in the 25-year-old.

When asked about reports linking the ex-Atletico Madrid forward with United and Arsenal, she told Belgian TV (via the Daily Mirror):

“Yes, they are very interested. I do not hide it, but nothing is signed.”

She added that she and Carrasco are both keen to return to Europe ‘to be closer to friends and family’.

It’s hard to see Arsenal complete a move for Carrasco with no funds available this month, unless of the course the club decide to offload a few fringe players.
