Unai Emery has offered Mesut Ozil to two clubs he believes would sign the German this month, according to reports in Italy.
Ozil has not featured for the Gunners since Boxing Day and doesn’t seem to be in Emery’s long-term plans.
Emery has already admitted that he has no cash to splash in this transfer window and can only seal loan deals or sell to buy.
Emery reportedly wants Arsenal to get rid of Ozil, who pockets £350,000-a-week, in order to have some money to spend on new players.
However, the German playmaker has no plans to leave Arsenal in a hurry but Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb (via TEAMtalk) claim Emery has offered Ozil’s services to Serie A duo Inter Milan and Juventus in hope they’ll take him up on his proposition.
Despite Juventus being linked with a move for Ozil, they have already acquired Aaron Ramsey’s service, so it looks highly unlikely they will be interested in the German, while Inter Milan have previously expressed an interest.
Offloading Ozil will not only loosen Arsenal’s wage bill but could also allow Emery to bring in one or two additions to the squad this month as he looks to clinch a top four finish this season.
