Laurent Koscielny is not interested in joining Thierry Henry’s Monaco this January, according to reports in France.
Henry had reportedly targeted the Arsenal centre-back as a potential recruit and was hoping to strike a deal this month, even if it was on a loan.
However, French publication Le 10 Sport, as reported by TribalFootball.com, claims the 33-year-old has declined the offer to return to France as he wants to fight for his place in the Arsenal first-team.
Koscielny has been eased back into action after recovering from a long-term Achilles injury, making six appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Unai Emery would be reluctant to let the French defender leave this month even if the player wanted to as the Spaniard is short of options at the back due to injuries and has limited resources to bring in new faces as well.
