Arsenal have lodged a bid for Lille forward Nicolas Pepe, according to reports in Italy.
Unai Emery is believed to be looking to add a new forward to his squad this January following a shortage of options upfront, and Pepe has reportedly been identified as a potential recruit in recent weeks.
And now TMW, as reported by TribalFootball.com, claim the Gunners have offered Lille £45million upfront plus further bonus fees depending on appearances and success.
The news broke just 24 hours after Arsenal’s reported offer for Cengiz Under was turned down by Serie A side Roma.
Despite being tied down to Lille until 2022, the Ivorian forward has stated that he is ready to leave the French club – but only at the end of the season.
Pepe has been in impressive form for Lille so far this season, scoring 12 goals and creating seven in 19 Ligue 1 appearances.
