Anthony Martial (Manchester United)
The French forward has arguably been one of United’s best players so far this season, scoring eight goals in 18 appearances in all competitions. However, he was believed to be wanting out of Old Trafford over the summer and was also reportedly upset with the club for not allowing him to speak to Arsenal back in January over a potential move. Martial hasn’t always seen eye-to-eye and continues to struggle to hold down a regular starting role in the side despite his impressive goal-scoring record since joining the Red Devils from Monaco in 2015. Martial has since revealed he used to ‘follow’ Arsenal when he was growing up due to the French connections the Gunners had at the time, so that is a major plus for Emery. It seems if Martial was to leave United then Arsenal would be his preferred destination if he remained in England. He would be a great signing for the Gunners and would solve the Welbeck situation and more. For the right price, Emery could make a statement this January by bringing him in.
