Arsenal are reportedly considering the possibility of loaning out Mesut Ozil next month, according to reports.

The 30-year-old’s future continues to be in doubt at the Emirates following recent omissions from the squad as Unai Emery doesn’t appear keen on the former Real Madrid star.

Emery knows he has a talented footballer in Ozil, but the German has not featured for the Gunners since November 11th.

However, Ozil could be given more opportunities to impress Emery during the busy festive period, but he will need to impress his manager sooner rather than later if he is to have a long-term future at Arsenal.

Inter Milan and Manchester United are both believed to be keeping tabs on the midfielder’s situation, but he is understood to be happy at Arsenal and knows his wages would prove a huge stumbling block in any potential move.

Ozil is on £350,000-a-week at Arsenal which will be a concern for the board if he is unable to win Emery over.

So, what can Arsenal do with Ozil?

Well its thought that the Gunners are now considering offloading Ozil on loan this January. It is the most realistic and viable option for the club to take as Ozil is happy at Arsenal, while the club will struggle to find a potential suitor who can match his current wages. Selling him on in January for even a cut-price would still prove a problem due to his wages, so a loan looks most appealing for all parties. Ozil would remain on the books of Arsenal while Emery gets rid of a player is currently not keen on.

A move would depend on whether Emery picks him for upcoming games and if Ozil can impress the Spaniard enough to keep him at the club.
