Arsenal sent scouts to watch Roma forward Cengiz Under in action against Inter Milan last weekend, according to reports.
The 21-year-old Turkey international scored in Roma’s 2-2 draw with Inter on Sunday and has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months.
Unai Emery is believed to be on the lookout for a new forward when the January transfer window opens and has identified Under, who is valued at around £45million, as a potential target.
Italian publication Calciomercato claims both Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping tabs on the youngster, who has become a regular for Roma after being in and out of Eusebio Di Francesco’s side last season.
Rome will not want to see Under, who cost the club £11million last year, leave the Stadio Olimpico. But the Serie A club could see a healthy return if Arsenal or Chelsea meet their valuation for the player.
