Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is “excited” by the prospect of playing under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The Welsh international is also believed to keen to link up with former Gunners teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and sees a move to Anfield as giving him a greater chance of winning a Premier League title.
The Reds are seemingly in pole position, not only because of Ramsey’s interest in moving to the club but also because the Merseysiders had a bid knocked back for the player in the summer.
The 27-year-old is seemingly someone that is well thought of by Liverpool, but Arsenal will be keen to get some money for the player by selling in the January transfer window.
However, Ramsey may have other ideas. Contract talks between the Welshman and the Gunners have broken down, with the player reportedly keen to stay put until the end of the season when he can move on a free transfer.
Despite negotiations stalling over a new deal, the midfielder has been a regular under manager Unai Emery this season, having started six out of the first seven Premier League matches.
