AC Milan are interested in signing Arsenal attacking midfielder Aaron Ramsey, according to sportmediaset.it.
The Rossoneri are looking to poach Gunners CEO Ivan Gazidis and the Italian website reports that if they do hire the director, it may lead to the Welshman following him to the San Siro.
However, it must be said Gazidis would not be joining Milan to manage the footballing side of the operation if he does depart the Emirates. The Italian club’s owners Elliot Management hired former player Leonardo to be the club’s sporting director in July.
Ramsey’s contract at Arsenal expires in the summer and so far there has been no agreement in extending his stay at the London club.
It was reported by the Evening Standard last month that the 27-year-old wants to double his current £110,000 a week wage, and the club have stood firm in refusing to give in to his demands. Whether the reported interest from Milan will affect negotiations, we will have to wait and see.
