The Emirates Stadium is likely to be a hive of activity in the final week of the British transfer window and until the end of August, with Arsenal rejuvenating their squad.

Unai Emery has already seen the likes of Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Chuba Akpom vacate north London but further departures are expected to occur, with Lucas Perez among those tipped for an exit.

After signing in 2016, Perez struggled to earn regular first-team action under Arsene Wenger and was subsequently loaned to Deportivo last term, where he suffered relegation, but has made cameo appearances during Arsenal’s pre-season campaign.

Perez remains on the market though and Sport Witness cite reports from A Bola that state Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon are keen on a move for the Spain forward, although they are reluctant to meet Arsenal’s asking price.

Sporting are said to struggle to offer anything more than €5m, below Arsenal’s demands, and would also find it difficult to match Perez’s wages.
