Arsenal’s squad overhaul will continue until the end of August and the first of three high-profile exits is on the verge of going ahead.
Unai Emery stated ahead of last weekend’s defeat to Manchester City that three established players are expected to leave before the end of the month, naming Carl Jenkinson, David Ospina and Joel Campbell as the most likely candidates to leave.
Costa Rica international Campbell looks set to be the first out of the door, as The Daily Mirror cites reports indicating that he has agreed to join Serie A minnows Frosinone ahead of the new season in Italy – which begins this weekend.
Campbell has spent time on loan with five different clubs in the past four years and a deal taking him to Italy will be on a permanent basis, with the Costa Rica forward ending his association with the Gunners after scoring four goals in 40 appearances.
