Arsenal continue to eye changes to the squad under Unai Emery and could be set to bolster their defensive ranks further.

The Gunners have signed Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund but remain in the hunt for further additions, with Turkish-Football naming the Premier League side as one of many interested in the services of Besiktas’ Domagoj Vida.

29-year-old Vida caught the eye at the World Cup in Russia with Croatia, starring as a stand-out performer in the club’s thrilling run to the final in Moscow – before they lost the showcase match against France.

The report says that Arsenal, Everton, West Ham and Liverpool have all made approaches for the experienced defender, who it is said has been subject to a £18.66m offer from an unnamed Premier League side.

Arsenal have reportedly spent their transfer budget this summer and must approve departures in order to fund further acquisitions, with speculation that the club are ready to listen to offers for Germany international Shkodran Mustafi.
