Major changes have occurred at Arsenal this summer, namely the appointment of Unai Emery as successor to Arsene Wenger, and the final weeks of the window could see further alterations take place.

The Sun states veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech has emerged as a target for Champions League semi-finalists Roma, who are seeking the addition of a new stopper following the world-record sale of Brazil international Alisson to Liverpool.

Roma’s sporting director Monchi is said to be concerned by the lack of experience within the club’s defence ahead of the 2018-19 Serie A campaign, where the Rome-based side will face a stern fight to secure a top-four finish ahead of the likes of Lazio and AC Milan.

36-year-old Cech was handed the number one jersey at Arsenal earlier this summer but the signing of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen has put his position in the squad under pressure, while he is also linked with a return to former employers Chelsea.
