Unai Emery remains in the hunt for new additions ahead of his first season at Arsenal, where he is reportedly eyeing a new winger.
The Gunners lack senior depth in the wide positions beyond Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with both Danny Welbeck and Lucas Perez linked with an exit, which has led to interest in a number of players across Europe.
Bayern Munich’s highly-rated France international Kingsley Coman is one player Arsenal are said to hold an interest in and speculation has suggested a move could be on the cards, although those claims have since been rebuffed by the player himself.
Quoted by The Mirror, Coman told reporters:
“That’s not true. I’ve had no contact with Arsenal. I’ve just extended my contract here at Bayern and I’m planning to stay for many more years.”
Arsenal could call upon young talents like Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles again this season, following their pre-season performances.
