Arsenal have been incredibly active in the transfer market, signing four new players in the form of Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Lucas Torreira – while other additions are in their sights.
The Gunners will approve departures though and the signing of Germany international Leno means that David Ospina has become surplus to requirements, with The Mirror stating Arsenal are ready to offload the goalkeeper for just £6m.
South American giants Boca Juniors have been heavily linked with the services of the Colombia international and are the favourites to sign the 29-year-old, with his agent opening the door for a move.
Speaking earlier this week, Lucas Jaramillo told El Crack Deportivo:
“[Ospina] had an excellent World Cup, and it is important for him to keep up that form,”
“We had already considered the Boca option but it is not easy right now economically for a club like Boca to pay that much for a goalkeeper.
“He would like to come to Boca but it is not the time, we are focused on staying in Europe because he is relatively young.”
