Arsenal continue to eye business in the transfer window as Unai Emery prepares for his first campaign in charge at the Emirates Stadium and it seems a huge battle could be on the cards.
The Daily Star states Ivory Coast midfielder Jean-Michel Seri has been spotted in London ahead of a potential move to the Premier League, where he has been widely linked with a move to Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham.
Seri, 26, has just a year left on his contract with OGC Nice and Europa League duo Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be frontrunners for his services – although links concerning a move to the Emirates Stadium have cooled due to the Gunners’ imminent capture of Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria.
With a reported release clause of £35m, Seri would prove to be an expensive acquisition and any interested parties need to move swiftly as The Mirror stated last week that clause was only valid until July 15.
