Arsenal remain in the market for new additions ahead of Unai Emery’s first campaign at the Emirates Stadium, as they seek to add to their five recruits so far in the market.

The Gunners have been widely linked with the services of Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi, who is also a target for Barcelona, and the two clubs have been handed encouragement to make a move following claims from the LaLiga club’s chief.

Quoted by FootballItalia Joaquin Caparros told reporters that there was no truth to the rumours linking the recently crowned World Cup winner with a move to Roma.

“Is there an agreement between Roma and N’Zonzi? There is nothing. I have not had any contact with Monchi at all.”

Emery worked with former Stoke City and Blackburn man N’Zonzi during his time in Andalusia and is keen on a reunion, while it is stated the 29-year-old is also open to a return to the Premier League.
