Like many clubs in the world this summer, Arsenal are keeping close tabs on the World Cup in Russia as they plot signings to bolster their side for next season.

Unai Emery’s side have been widely attributed with long-term interest in CSKA Moscow ace Aleksandr Golovin and the midfielder has raised attention in his services with fine performances at the World Cup for Russia.

The 22-year-old’s starring performances have helped the host nation advance to the round of 16, where they face 2010 champions Spain, and Arsenal could now be set to miss out on the services of the talented youngster.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo state Barcelona are keen on the services of Golovin and are considering a move for the playmaker, as they end interest in Tottenham’s Denmark international Christian Eriksen as a result.

CSKA Moscow have understandably raised their asking price for Golovin following his performances at the World Cup and will command around €25m for the services of the Russia ace.
