Arsenal boss Unai Emery is seeking significant additions to his ranks at the Emirates Stadium as he prepares for his debut campaign in the Premier League.

The Gunners have already bolstered the defensive depth with the addition of former Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer but the Spanish boss is eyeing further reinforcements to his defensive line.

It’s widely reported that Emery is not convinced about Petr Cech or David Ospina and, as such, is seeking a new first-choice goalkeeper in the market – with head of recruitment Sven Mislintat leading the charge for a stopper.

Widespread reports have suggested that Bayer Leverkusen and Germany goalkeeper Bernd Leno has emerged as a prime target for Arsenal but it seems they’ll face competition in the market, as Bild state Liverpool are also eyeing a deal.

Defeated Champions League finalist Jurgen Klopp is eyeing the addition of his compatriot to replace Loris Karius, who made two high-profile mistakes in the 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in Kiev.
