Arsenal fans have become accustomed to losing fan favourites in the transfer market, with Alexis Sanchez being the latest player to jump ship and join a Premier League rival.
Concern has risen regarding the contract situation of Aaron Ramsey, who is entering the final year of his deal at the Emirates Stadium, but Arsenal have been given encouragement that suggests he’ll put pen to paper on a new deal.
Quoted by The Independent, Ramsey stated he’s excited to start work under new manager Unai Emery following Arsene Wenger’s departure.
“Of course. I haven’t spoken to him (Emery) at all yet, but I think it’s an exciting time for the club. I can’t wait to get back there now.”
Ramsey celebrates a decade at Arsenal this summer and is now the club’s current longest-serving player, having lifted three FA Cup crowns in recent years – and scoring winning goals in two of those triumphs.
