Arsenal are eyeing significant improvements to their ranks this summer but one proposed deal has hit a snag, leaving the Gunners likely to miss out.

French outlet RMC Sport states that Paris Saint-Germain youngster Yacine Adli has decided to stay with the Ligue 1 champions, snubbing the Gunners after travelling to London to hold talks with the club.

The 17-year-old made his senior debut in the French capital last summer under the guidance of new Arsenal boss Unai Emery, who was keen to bring the teenager to the Premier League with him – with head of recruitment Sven Mislintat also pushing for a deal.

Despite positive talks, it now appears a change in heart means that Adli will remain in his current surroundings and is likely to sign a new contract with PSG, with a reported three-year deal set to be agreed.

Arsenal were reported to be prepared to pay €255,000 (£223,000) for the services of the France U18 international.
