Arsenal have plenty of work to do this summer after failing to secure Champions League football for the second season in a row and have not wasted any time in the transfer market.

The Gunners confirmed the capture of experienced Switzerland international Stephan Lichtsteiner earlier this week as Unai Emery’s first recruit at the Emirates Stadium and are now reported to have got another deal over the line.

French outlet RMC Sport state a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain youngster Yacine Adli has been agreed, with Arsenal beating the likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus, Barcelona and Manchester City in the hunt for the teenager.

Arsenal will only have to pay a compensation fee for the highly-rated 17-year-old and was handed his senior debut by Emery in May, with the Spanish boss keen to bring the youngster with him to London.

Adli is unlikely to provide an immediate boost to Arsenal’s first team but has the chance to develop and push his way into the senior ranks in the coming years.
