Arsenal are seeking significant improvements to their midfield ranks this summer, with Unai Emery leading the charge to rebuild at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are set to lose Santi Cazorla on a free transfer and could see Jack Wilshere leave in similar circumstances, while there is also concern regarding the future of Aaron Ramsey as he enters the final 12 months of his deal.
Amongst the wealth of players that Arsenal are said to be keen on signing is Steven N’Zonzi, a loyal midfield lieutenant to Emery during his successful years at Sevilla, and the former Stoke man has hinted towards a summer transfer.
Speaking to the media at a World Cup press conference, he said:
“I am feeling very good at Seville but they are not the biggest club in Europe. laying with high profile players in a big team could be a good progression for me.”
“We all know that the transfer window is open but we don’t talk about it that much. There is a big tournament coming up and changing teams is not the main worry in the group.”
