Arsenal may have bolstered their attacking racks with the additions of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January but it seems there’s still room for further additions in the final third.
Dutch outlet De Telegraaf state that Arsenal are in hunt for PSV Eindhoven wonderkid Steven Bergwijn, who broke into the first-team as a teenager two years ago and has courted plenty of Premier League attention.
The 20-year-old, capable of playing on either flank, is targeted by new Gunners boss Unai Emery to fill the void left by Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United in January – although they face plenty of competition on the market.
North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on the U21 Holland international, while Liverpool, West Ham and Bournemouth are also said to be in the running.
Contracted with the Eredivisie champions until 2021, Arsenal would have to present PSV with a hefty offer in the market if they’re to seal a deal.
