Arsenal are seeking huge additions during the summer transfer window and the imminent appointment of Unai Emery is set to put the Gunners on their way.

A number of top-class players are being chased by the north London giants, including OGC Nice Jean-Michel Seri, and they’ve received encouragement in their quest to sign the highly-rated midfielder.

The Evening Standard has quoted Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere as confirming that Seri, along with striker Alassane Plea, could leave the French Riviera during the summer transfer window.

“As we currently speak, no departure is confirmed. But it’s true that Alassane is arriving at a stage in his career where it would be difficult to prevent him from looking for something else. You have to respect that.”

“We are here to help players to improve, that is the case with him. Seri is in the same category. A very good player who has brought a lot to the club and can legitimately have that desire to go and play abroad.”

However, Arsenal will face a stern test in the market as Premier League rivals Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the 26-year-old Ivory Coast international.
