Arsenal have plenty of work to do in preparation for their first campaign without Arsene Wenger and a number of loan spells for young talents are likely to be approved.

The Evening Standard reports that one of those likely to exit north London on a temporary basis once again is Japanese forward Takuma Asano, who has spent the past two-years on-loan with VFB Stuttgart.

Asano was denied a work permit in 2016 and 2017, meaning he cannot play in English football, and he’s now poised to join Hannover in the Bundesliga next season – and continuing in Germany will increase his chances of earning a permit to play in the Premier League.

Now 23, Asano has featured 16 times for Japan’s international side but was dropped from the squad for the friendlies in March, handing a blow to his hopes of making his nation’s squad for the World Cup in Russia.

He struggled for consistency during his time with Stuttgart, scoring just five goals in 45 appearances.
