Arsenal are seeking exciting additions in the summer transfer market after failing to qualify for the Champions League for the second season in a row.

Unai Emery has arrived at the Emirates Stadium as successor to Arsene Wenger and the Spanish boss is reportedly eyeing a number of exciting moves.

The Sun states Arsenal, alongside Chelsea and Manchester United, are battling for the services of Roma powerhouse Radja Nainggolan, who is expected to cost around £45m.

The Belgium international is ready for a change of scenery after missing out on Robert Martinez’s World Cup squad and the Premier League is a likely destination for the 30-year-old.

Champions League semi-finalists Roma are ready to approve a sale of the veteran, who would provide an injection of experience into Arsenal’s midfield ranks, but the Gunners will struggle to rival United and Chelsea financially.

Nainggolan contributed six goals and 11 assists for Roma across all competitions this term, helping the Italian giants finish third in Serie A behind Juventus and Napoli.
