Arsenal are preparing for their biggest game of the season tomorrow night, as the Gunners welcome CSKA Moscow to the Emirates Stadium for the Europa League quarter-final first-leg.

Arsene Wenger’s side are poised to miss out on a top-four Premier League finish for the second season in a row, leaving victory in Europe’s second-tier competition this season standing as their only path back into the Champions League.

After comfortably seeing off Italian giants AC Milan in the last round, Arsenal are firm favourites for the two-legged affair against CSKA but Wenger has revealed some rather concerning news, suggesting that Petr Cech will not be fit.

Speaking after this weekend’s 3-0 victory over Stoke City, the Frenchman said:

“He’s better today.  He will go out for a little session maybe now. I still think he will be a little short for Thursday.”

Cech’s absence will see David Ospina continue between the sticks, a position he’s occupied throughout the cup competitions this season.
