Arsenal face a stern battle to rejuvenate their side in the summer transfer window and their task could become even more difficult if a number of their prized assets are lured away from the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are already set to lose Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Per Mertesacker upon the expiration of their contracts, with the latter taking a coaching role with the club’s academy, but fear that more high-profile exits could be on the horizon.
TalkSport cites reports that suggest three-time FA Cup winning hero Aaron Ramsey could be one of those lured away from north London, as it’s stated that Juventus are increasing their push to sign the Wales international.
The Serie A title-chasing side are seeking midfield additions and are eyeing Ramsey as an alternative to Liverpool’s Emre Can, who is approaching the end of his contract at Anfield but has frustrated Juventus by not yet making a decision on his future.
Ramsey’s current contract expires in 2019 and, whilst Arsenal have opened talks regarding a renewal, the Gunners fear that he could run down his deal in order to move away from the club for free next year.
