Arsene Wenger’s long-term association with Arsenal is coming to a close this summer but it’s understood the French manager will not exit football entirely and is keen to continue his career elsewhere.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain have long been touted as potential suitors for the 68-year-old boss but he could eye a switch to the international stage, as journalist Julien Laurens has stated he’d be interested in becoming England manager.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, the French journalist said:
“I don’t see him taking another club. That’s pretty much what I’ve been told, however, a national team might be something that interests him. A big country with a good project could interest him.”
“Yeah, maybe. We have Deschamps for at least two years after the World Cup. But maybe England, I think he would be very, very keen on the England job one day.”
